Planned Giving
Planned Giving
At Norman Regional Health Foundation, we understand that philanthropic satisfaction relates not only to the size of a gift, but to such intangibles as how it is given, who is involved, when it occurs and what it accomplishes. We understand that giving can have emotional dimensions far beyond the value of the gift.
Legacy Society
The Legacy Society was established to recognize people who have made a commitment to Norman Regional Health System and the future of excellent healthcare in the regional communities served by our hospitals. The Legacy Society members have accomplished this through planned gifts of appreciated assets, insurance, bequests and trusts.
Many times our greatest pleasure comes from helping others. A planned gift is a kindness we pass on to coming generations who will give thanks that someone thought of the future and acted on it. Please remember Norman Regional Health Foundation in your will or estate planning. For sample verbiage for your will and the tax ID number, please contact Marilyn Geiger at 405.307.1061.
Gift Annuities-Assurance for the Future
Sarah was worried about her fluctuating stocks. Sometimes they were way up, other times way down. She started to worry that she would lose her investment and began to search for better ways to have a fixed return. Sarah called Norman Regional Health Foundation and found out that she could receive a guaranteed fixed return on her investment and a large income tax deduction for her donation.
Now, both Sarah and Norman Regional Health System benefit. She receives a fixed return based on her age, and Norman Regional gets the support they need to promote good healthcare in our community.
Charitable Trusts-Tax Deductions with a Conscience
After witnessing his ailing mother receive excellent care at Norman Regional Health System, Steve decided that he wanted to make a donation to the Foundation. He met with Marilyn at the Foundation and they discussed all of the available options to make donations. Steve decided that he would give through a Charitable Trust. This way he would receive a percentage of the income from the cash donation for the remainder of his life, and then the remaining principle would pass on to the Foundation.
This type of donation allowed Steve to take a federal income tax deduction and let him support a cause he believed in, enhancing our community’s healthcare.
