MANDATORY PREREQUISITE PRIOR TO ATTENDING THIS CLASS: BASIC ARRHYTHMIA
Heart Code ACLS, is a self-directed computer based recertification program.Participants will receive a brief HeartCode orientation and will complete the course viacomputer. An access key is necessary for completion and available from Carol Reed or Rachel Perryman
The Course is approved for both the renewal and initial ACLS certification. While the program is developed with the experienced provider in mind, individuals can decide the learning methods best for them. The AHA recognizes the value of new or inexperienced ACLS provider participation in a traditional classroom based course, which provides Instructor feedback & group interaction.
ACLS Provider Manuals and study materials are available in the Education Center office and the NRHS Library.
Part 1 may be completed from any computer with the following:
Parts 2 and 3 are performed on the Heartcode manikin at the Porter campus Learning Resources ACLS Heartcode room or the HPX Heartcode room on the 3rd floor.
First come first serve. No need to schedule a time.
No fees for NRHS employees.

Successful completion of this program provides the learner with a Certificate of Completion and a wallet size certification card. The certification is granted for 2 years.
