Introduction to basic Hemodynamics and the factors related to Hemodynamics, the purpose of invasive Hemodynamic monitoring. An in-depth evaluation of the components of stroke volume, preload, afterload and contractility, hemodynamic variables, central venous pressure, arterial lines, PAP pressure, square wave test, mixed venous oxygen SVO2. Topics will also include determination of therapeutic treatment options, related to each component of Hemodynamics including stroke volume, preload afterload, contractility, stroke index, cardiac output, cardiac index, CVP, RAP, PAOP, and SVO2. Demonstration of proper set-up of pressure lines and the care of pressure lines, including arterial lines, CVP lines, and the Swan-Ganz catheter. Understanding the waveforms and waveform characteristics of invasive pressure lines, and variations of mixed venous oxygen SVO2 and indications.
