I would like to thank members of the ER for their help Tuesday, September 1, 2009. Not only did they provide needed attention but their attitude was positive. I believe I heard the people who moved you from one area to another are called "transporters" and want to thank them for their courtesy and upbeat attitudes. All I remember about those in surgery is that they were friendly, but I think about them every time I accidentally touch one of my incisions. To the RN's, LPN's, aids and cleaners from rooms 3207 and 5076 I wish to say thanks for your care, your conversation and most of all your positive, cheerful attitudes. Last I would like to say to the kitchen staff that the food was wonderful. My wife and I are amazed at the positive attitude of the Norman staff. We think they must be required to take a positive course or else they may take a positive pill before work. I thank God that my hospital is Norman Regional. I have also had day surgery and scans at Norman Regional and found that my contacts at those times were quick and very professional. Thanks for being Norman's hospital.

Let me start by saying there is nothing worse than having to bring your child to the ER thinking he is going to have his appendix removed. I am an employee of the hospital and have been for a little over a year. In that time I have dealt with many people and personalities. Last night when my nine-year-old son doubled over in pain I automatically thought the worse. Upon arrival to the ER I could tell the staff was very busy. They were very polite upon arrival and very upfront about wait times. I appreciated that very much. The real magic happened when we were taken to a room and Amber came in to talk to us. From the moment she walked in the door she was kind, and patient and very understanding to my son and also to my fear. Dr. Kite was the physician that took care of my son and he was by far one of the most sensitive and compassionate doctors I have had the pleasure of dealing with. He was very honest with my son and told him every step of what was going on. The happy ending here is that my son didn't have to have surgery. I would like to commend the people who not only treated my son but actually cared about him. Dr. Kite and Amber were so amazing during a time that was very stressful for me. I really appreciate how we were treated. They did a great job and I cannot say ‘thank you’ enough.

I want to express my appreciation for every staff member of the emergency department for their professional, courteous and caring treatment of my son last night. From the front desk, to the triage and admitting staff, to the nursing assistant, nursing staff, radiology staff, to include the exceptional care Dr. Frantz gave my son, as well as by the discharge staff, there was not one sour note played in the excellent orchestration of the care received by my family. Stress will always be associated with taking a loved one to the emergency room. What is amazing is how our Emergency department lived up to NRHS's motto to provide 'the human side of healing.' Thanks again, to all the dedicated staff in the ED.

I have always heard that ER's take forever if you ever have to go. Well, I found that was not true about Norman Regional!! I was in and out in less than 1 hour and had immediate, and great care!! Thank you so much!!

I have a family member that was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit at Norman Regional Hospital. You have a top notch facility. I have never been better informed by the doctors and nurses regarding treatment and everyday status. My family member has been treated with the utmost care from the very beginning. Thank you!
