Genuine Kindness by Family members of a patient

Thursday, March 18, 2010

Our mother was hospitalized and passed away on 4 North. We wanted to express our deepest appreciation for the extraordinary and professional care, support and love shown to Mother and to our family by those who cared for her including the RNs, LPNs, Respiratory Therapists, aides, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists and housekeeping. During the days and long nights, so many people cared for and supported Mother and our family – they were angels among us. It is obvious that the staff truly cares for their patients and families. It was evident that caring is your mission and gift. You are all doing it exceptionally well, with gentleness and genuine kindness.

Great care at the Emergency Department by A grateful patient

Tuesday, March 16, 2010

I was very happy with the treatment I received at Norman Regional Hospital’s Emergency Department. I had fallen, hit my head and required stitches. The doctor who saw me – Dr. Kruse – was very nice and did a beautiful job. I can’t even see a scar where the stitches were!

Wonderful ER Visit by Recent patient

Friday, February 26, 2010

After experiencing chest and back pains for a couple of days, pains which I do not remember encountering before, I chose to go to emergency room at the new HealthPlex as a precaution, should the pains be heart-related. After extensive testing, it was determined the pains were intestinally related and medication was given to me for relief. From the time I entered the emergency room until the time I was dismissed, every individual that assisted me showed concern for my well-being in a very warm and pleasant manner. I really appreciated Dr. Angela Carrick’s cheerful personality, as well as her explanation of their findings, which gave me assurance that if anything major was wrong, the hospital and staff were there to assist me. We live west of I-35 and we are so thankful for this new facility, which gives us a much quicker access to medical care, particularly emergency situations.

Wonderful Nurses by Wife a patient

Tuesday, February 9, 2010

The nurses on the post operation wing of Norman Regional Hospital are efficient, kind and most of all knowledgeable. My husband had a kidney removed and we were on the post operation floor. I spent many hours in hospitals with my parents and the care during this stay was the best I have experienced. All of the staff was responsive and caring. Some of the first names of the nurses we remember are Patricia, Cassie, Kristy and Dawn, but everyone was wonderful.
