The staff was wonderful! by A Happy Father and Mother*

I am writing to commend you and your staff for the wonderful treatment my wife and I received during our recent stay. My wife and I were guests at your facility to witness the birth of our adopted daughter. Even though we were the adoptive parents, your staff allowed us to use a room, and with the permission of the birth mother, kept us informed and up-to-date as the situation progressed. Two nurses in particular, Laura and Brenda, went above and beyond their duties by making us feel so welcome and making the entire experience a good one for the birth mother. We have heard horror stories about how some adoptive families are treated by hospitals. We are not really a part of the process; we aren't the patients or family so we're easily left out. It can be a very awkward time for everyone involved. Yet the hospital experience is important for us as well. In our case it gave us two days to visit and bond with our birth mother. It will be a time that we will remember fondly for the rest of our lives.

My Alan is alive today because of your care in transporting him to (another facility) with such care and skill! The calm, professional service and support to family members was so appreciated! Alan is working hard in physical therapy and gaining strength daily. You all gave us hope and a chance for him to survive and we are forever grateful to all of you! We have been truly "blessed" because of all of you and what you dedicated your life to do in becoming EMS and paramedics and providing such loyal and professional service to this community.
Wonderful Care by Employee of former patient*

My mother was hospitalized here in February. It was a very difficult time for me and my family. My parents live in Texas, but we decided to bring her here. I work with such a great team here and trusted them to give my mother the care she needed. In the ER I was so impressed and humbled by the great care my mother received. Dr. Hoos and the nursing staff were so caring and thorough. We felt very blessed to have her on PCU that Dr. Kester and Dr. Ryan were overseeing her care, and all the nursing staff was excellent. Just wanted you to know how proud I am to work here and how great the care is.

From the moment we walked into the building we were treated with kindness and respect. Everyone we met from the housekeeper who asked if there was anything more she could do to the chaplain who provided us comfort. The ED, ICU and Palliative Care staff were all outstanding! The hospital was incredibly clean and staff provided for all our needs. It was a very tough 72 hours for us and your wonderful staff took very good care of us all. Thank you so very much.
NRH Emergency Room by Amanda Gage*

I had my 5 yr old son in the NRH ER on 3/6/11... He woke up in the middle of the night having a hard time breathing and scared to death. My husband and I rushed him to the ER in complete fear. We were taken care of from the minute we walked in the door until the minute we left. Dr. Moslander was amazing with my little boy. He talked to him and explained everything that he was doing and calmed him down. It was the best experience ever at NRH! Thank you to the doctor, nurses, and RT for taking care of my little boy.
