On Sunday, October 24, 2010, I was on a flight from Houston, Texas to Tampa, Florida. A call went out for medical assistance on a passenger.
I answered the call and joined an already engaged paramedic, Chief Eddie Sims and a nurse named Catherine, from Houston. We identified ourselves and proceeded to work as a team on an ill passenger. I am writing to compliment Mr. Sims on his skill and professionalism in a rather tense situation at 37,000 feet above the earth, and with limited equipment. Eddie was very competent, and as a vascular and plastic surgeon with many years experience, appreciated both his help and that of Catherine.
My daughter recently had a child at the new Norman Regional Hospital, and the care there was also wonderful.

My daughter, a freshman at OU, came to the ER Sunday night after I frantically made much as I could via text and cell phone from Plano, Texas. Her arm was swelling, was in pain and it sounded like she had staph infection. She got to the ER around 10:35 and when I spoke to her at 10:45, she had already been seen and was about to talk with the doctor. She was out of the ER within two hours and said she received really good care. I just want to send out a really, really big thank you to all the staff that took care of my precious girl. It's so difficult being so far away but very comforting to know that there is a top-notch hospital close by.

As I prepare to exit after by brief stay at Norman Regional, I wanted to let you know of my care here. My care was very good, professionalism of your medical staff from Dr. Shahsavari, the nurses were so good at their careers. I’m speaking of Sharon Davis and Anna. These two nurses made me feel happy even though I was sick. I hope these three would be recognized in some way. Dr. Shahsavari is so great and a very good doctor, made me get well faster, he’s a magnificent doctor. Thank you for your time and attention.

I had an outpatient procedure today and thought I would drop you a line concerning the fantastic care I received by the nursing staff at the origianl facility. Everyone was so caring and attentive, specifically the nurses in the recovery unit. Theer was never a moment when I felt I was alone or my needs were not top priority. There was also a personal exchange between two nurses that I overheard and it was really refreshing to hear such a postive conversation. The entire staff that took care of me did an excellent job and they are to be commended. Thank you.

It was 12:30 in the morning and my two-year-old son was in need of medical attention. I took him to the Emergency Department and they were ready to attend to him within 3 minutes of our arrival. They took us to a room and immediately started treating him for his condition. The nurses and doctor caring for my son made sure he felt calm and comfortable. The doctor even tracked down a toy and some bubbles which he enjoyed immensely. Everyone involved from start to finish was very kind and most importantly took great care of my son. In fact, his experience was such a positive one he told me just this morning he wanted to go back to the "Doctor’s office". Thank you to everyone who made this a wonderful experience.
