Treated like No. 1 at Moore by Anonymous

I have never been to a hospital where I was treated like a person and not a problem until I came to Moore Medical Center. The staff took time for me and made sure I was taken care of. They treated me like I was their only patient. They work really hard and I really thank them for making my stay as best as can be.

I wanted to say a big THANK YOU to all the nurses and staff in the Women's Center. I had surgery on May 21st and was discharged on May 22nd. During my stay the staff was very pleasant and took excellent care ensuring I was comfortable. Norman Regional is to be commended!
A very positive experience by Alice Reagan

Last Monday was a total surprise when I ended up in the Emergency Room with Acute Appendicitis. I had not had any experience with ER and dreaded the long wait. No more than 5 minutes after walking in the door and I was in a room and the process was started. The Emergency Room staff were so kind and considerate. Explaining all as they did their tasks. Only 4 hours after walking the door and I was down in surgery. Dr. Tom Connally and entire staff put myself and my husband at ease and away I went. My hospital stay was not very long, but I was there long enough to say that the entire nursing staff were very attentive and considerate of my needs. What a wonderful facility we have in Norman! Many thanks to all who cared for me. When I need a hospital again, I will make it Norman!
Great Cardiac Rehab Program by William "Ken" Kimbrough

I am a recent graduate from Cardiac Rehab. As you know heart attacks can be quite a surprise and leave you with lots of doubts and questions about the future. The Cardiac Rehab Program was extremely beneficial to me, both physically and mentally by providing an initial focus to the recovery process. I don't know where else I could have turned and am certain I could not have made near the same progress on my own. The program provided lots of valuable information but most important of all I learned the value of patience and working within my limits. I am looking forward to utilizing the six-month, free YMCA membership. It certainly adds value to the program. Please accept my thanks for providing a great program and give my thanks to the excellent staff.
Great Student Experience in ED by Evan Skinner
Tuesday, May 12, 2009
I was a nursing student on my final rotation in the Emergency Department. I am writing to strongly recommend high accolade and honor to several staff members. It is rare for a student to have the privilege of such a rich teaching environment as I had in the ED. I was welcomed quickly as a member of the team, expected to share in the work, victories, and tragedies of emergent care. I appreciate how several staff members were vigilant of teaching opportunities for me. I was continually challenged by my preceptor, Mark Madden, to improve my skills and knowledge. I was placed in critical thinking scenarios to augment my confidence and speed of thought. In no other area of clinical practice have I been exposed to the level of teamwork and professionalism as that which was displayed by the ED. My experiences as a student have been varied and my teachers and preceptors have been diverse. No other experience during my time as a student has been more remarkable than my time with the fine staff members of the ER day shift. I would recommend without reservation the NRH emergency department as an excellent teaching site for future students. Therefore, please extend my gratitude to the following RNs, techs, and MDs on day shift: Mark Madden, Lance Williams, Marti, Kelly, Rhonda, Cheryl, Ryan, Heather, April, Jamie, Steve, Michelle, Desirae and Paul. The reputation and value of Norman Regional Hospital exists because of fine professionals such as those listed above.
