I am actually writing this from my hospital bed. I was admitted this past Sunday from the ER and it is now in the early hours of Thursday. I am here because of complications from surgery. I want to let the hospital administrators know that your staff here is by far the most outstanding staff of any hospital I have ever come across in my entire 37 years of life. I have had quite a few hospital experiences in my years between myself, my husband, and my son and I have never been treated with the kindness and respect that I have received as a patient in this facility. The nurses have all gone out of their way to help me feel as comfortable as possible. It is never fun being in a hospital, especially for this long. Each nurse has always been positive and gentle, their attitudes have been one of genuine care and concern. They are gracious and encouraging. I want to mention two nurses in particular that have made my stay more comfortable. They are Erin and Nicole on the Women's and Children's Unit. They have been kind enough to take just a few extra minutes to "chat" (not long enough to keep them from their duties, but just enough to encourage me) with me because they knew I was having a hard time. You see I live all the way in Ardmore so I don't get any visitors, and my husband can only come up once in a blue moon because he has a very demanding job. These two ladies have made my stay feel just a little more like home by giving me that feeling of someone going the extra mile for me. Thank you so much for hiring people that care to work in your facility.

I have been a patient of Dr. Pham for about three years. During that time I have received excellent care from Dr. Pham and his staff. Dr. Pham cares about me and spends as much time as is needed to help me understand my illness and manage my diabetes. I feel very fortunate to be his patient.

My physician diagnosed me as having Diabetes, Type 1. He recommended I attend training classes in the HealthPlex, Diabetes Section learning about the right diet, to take insulin and how to measure my blood glucose. There are some wonderful people in the Diabetes Section. My trainers were Susan Pacific and Pam Boeck. They were simply wonderful! I admired their patience, their desire to be helpful and the knowledge they transferred to me. And, later, when I had questions and phoned them, they were the same patient, helpful people they were in their classes and offices. And I can't overlook the receptionist, whose name I don't know. She helped this bewildered first time visitor in a most helpful and gracious manner. Thank you for a well-run medical center!

I just wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know about the care my mother received when she was a patient at the HPX. She was in the Ortho Unit for hip replacement due to a fall. She had EXCELLENT care! The nurses were wonderful with her and were a great help to my sister and to me. All the staff answered any questions or concerns we had and made sure we had everything we needed. They were all very courteous and friendly. What a wonderful experience! I am proud to be part of the NRHS staff and know that we have such great employees. I think the Ortho Unit staff is a great group of people!
