The Central Oklahoma Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® provides support and funding for the Mammogram Initiative. The Mammogram Initiative is a comprehensive education, screening, and intervention program dedicated to assuring that female patients admitted to Norman Regional Health System have excellent breast health. The program advocates breast health and awareness, and encourages women to schedule mammograms. This program leads to earlier identification of breast cancer, when it is most treatable, resulting in fewer related instances of prolonged illness and death.
