Results for the 2010 Most Wired Survey and Benchmarking Study are in the July issue of Hospital & Health Networks magazine. Only four hospitals in Oklahoma received the distinction.

Computerized Provider Order Entry or CPOE is a clinical application that allows health care providers to electronically enter instructions for the treatment of patients such as lab tests, medications, clinical procedures and more. It augments more traditional methods of placing medication orders such as written, verbal and faxed orders.

On May 10, 2010 Norman Regional Health System, in response to National Weather Service advisories, called a Code Black for all three hospital campuses (at 1:32 p.m.) - Norman Regional Hospital, Moore Medical Center and HealthPlex. Code Black consists of alerting employees that there is a significant risk for damaging weather.
