Mark Your Calendars for the HealthPlex Opening

Norman Regional Health System invites you to celebrate the grand opening of the new HealthPlex specialty hospital, located off Interstate 35 on Tecumseh Road. The grand opening will take place from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, August 29 and the facility will begin to see patients in September.

A new era in health care for south-central Oklahoma is on the horizon, and we want you to be part of this community accomplishment. The facility will give community members convenient access to the most comprehensive care for Heart and Vascular, Orthopedic and Spine, and Women’s and Children’s services in the region.

The HealthPlex facility through innovative design promotes a healing and safe environment for our patients. The grand opening will also feature guided tours of the facility, family entertainment and Norman’s first rubber duck race! Visitors can explore the landscaped grounds, which include a walking trail surrounding a five-acre lake.

Your Intro-DUCK-tion to the HealthPlex

The HealthPlex Duck Derby will include the fastest, finest and fittest rubber ducks in the nation racing to the finish line in the HealthPlex Lake. By adopting-a-duck, you have a chance to win fabulous prizes including one million dollars while supporting Norman Regional Health Foundation!

The Foundation supports the Health System and our community by providing grants for hospital equipment and programs, scholarships for local students, community events such as free flu vaccines and much more.

The event begins at 9 a.m. and ducks are launched at 10:45 a.m. for a 15-minute race in the HealthPlex Lake. KREF 1400AM “The REF” sports personality, Toby Rowland, will give us a play-by-play of the derby race, while announcing the winners as they cross the finish line. One lucky duck might win one million dollars! Don’t miss out.
