Three Norman Regional physicians were honored for their outstanding service and leadership at the annual Physician Holiday Dinner.

It is awarded to a doctor that demonstrates compassionate care of patients, a caring attitude and develops relationships between patients, employees, other physicians and the community. Dr. Yeaman serves as the Health System’s Chief Medical Informatics Officer in addition to running his own family practice.

The Physician Peer Award was presented to Dr. John Krodel. Dr. Krodel was chosen for this award by his physician peers for his compassionate care of patients, building of collegial relationships and his pursuit of professional excellence. This is the second time Dr. Krodel has been honored from his peers for his contributions. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and is the Medical Director of Clinical Effectiveness at Norman Regional.

This year a doctor was also honored with the Heart of Gold award. This award is in honor of the life and service of the late Dr. Harold Belknap, Jr. The Heart of Gold Award was given to Dr. Gerald McCullough for his 46 years of dedicated service. He exemplifies the standards Dr. Belknap stood for which include: promoting community pride, developing the next generation of leaders and healthcare providers, and volunteering services to those in need.
