If you have ever thought about paying it forward, helping those in need or making new life-long friends, it may be time to take action. Norman Regional Health System is holding two volunteer recruitment fairs next week and they are in need of some good men and women.
If you are interested in volunteering for an award-winning health care system, join NRHS on Tuesday, March 30 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Moore Medical Center Atrium located at 700 S. Telephone Road in Moore. If Thursday works better for you, you may visit the recruitment fair at Norman Regional Hospital located at 901 N. Porter in Norman from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on April 1.
The fairs are an opportunity to learn about the benefits and rewards of volunteering at one of the Health System’s three hospitals: Norman Regional, the HealthPlex and Moore Medical Center.
Four hundred local residents volunteered for the Health System last year. They volunteered more than 56,000 hours saving the Health System $840,600 in one year alone.
This year volunteers are needed in the gift shops, information desks and surgery waiting areas. Each volunteer receives a free meal during their shift and are required to work a minimum of six hours a month.
