NORMAN – November is National Diabetes Awareness Month. This chronic disease affects an estimated 26 million Americans. Learn more about diabetes and get your questions about this disease answered at the annual Diabetes Health Fair.
The Diabetes Health Fair will be held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, November 29 at the Norman Regional Hospital Education Center, 901 N. Porter Ave. This community-wide event is open to anyone who may be affected by diabetes or those interested in improving diabetes management.
There will be an “Ask the Experts” panel discussion with a physician, nurse practitioner, physical therapist, dietitian/certified diabetes educator and people living with diabetes.
The Diabetes Health Fair will feature free blood pressure screenings, free blood glucose meters, and the newest diabetes products. The Diabetes Health Fair will also include various vendor booths, door prizes, nutritious snacks, and much more.
