Oklahoma has the third highest death rate from cardiovascular disease in the country. Learn more about the state of the heart in Oklahoma at the Heart of a Sooner Cardiovascular Symposium. The symposium will take place from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6 at the Norman Regional Hospital Education Center. The symposium is free to healthcare providers only.
This day-long symposium will feature keynote speaker Terry Cline Ph.D., the Oklahoma Secretary of Health, and lunch speaker Jay Wilkinson. Learn from those who are on the frontlines fighting heart disease.
Additional speakers include: TaySha Howell MD, Archana Gautam MD, Ted Tolleson MD, Katherine Hays MD, Todd Gray DO, Timothy Cathey MD, Amy Baden RN, Paul Ayers MD, C. Noah Israel MD, FACC, Kyle Toal MD, Muhammad Salim MD, and Muhammad Anwar MD.
