Norman Regional Receives Honors for Advertising and Marketing.
Norman Regional Health System has received recognition for their advertising/marketing work from three national advertising/marketing groups. Recognition includes; three merit awards from the 23rd Annual Healthcare Marketing Awards, a national healthcare marketing competition sponsored by Healthcare Marketing Report. The Aster Awards, a national award program for excellence in medical marketing handed Norman Regional four gold, two silver and one bronze award. Locally, Norman received a bronze merit from the Addy Awards, an annual advertising competition of the American Advertising Federation, who recognizes creativity in TV, newspaper and radio ads, print, media campaigns and publications. The Fort Worth Addy awards gave the nod to Balcom Agency who received 2 gold, 5 silver and 4 bronze for their print, radio and TV advertising on behalf of the Health System.
All awards were for marketing and public relations materials produced by the Health System’s PR department and designed by Micah Thomson and the Balcom Agency, Fort Worth for the 2006 calendar year.
This is Norman Regionals sixth consecutive year to be recognized by the Healthcare Marketing Awards, the fourth year for Aster Awards and the third for the Addy Awards.
Norman Regional received the following Healthcare Marketing Awards in the 200-499 bed hospital categories: Merit Poster Jerry D. Leu, MD Healthcare packet, merit Special Event 60 Year Anniversary packet and merit for Television advertising/single spot Balcom Agency Football X’s and O’s.
The Aster Awards for 300-499 beds: gold medal for the January 2007 Pulse Newsletter, 60th Anniversary Packet, “Norman Another Name for Expert” Balcom campaign for radio and TV. Silver medals were awarded for: Highway to Health Foundation brochure, and Balcom Agency “Norman Teaser and Reveal Outdoor campaign. Bronze medal was awarded for the Jerry D. Leu, MD Healthcare Excellence Award poster.
The Addy Awards presented gold medals to the Balcom Agency for “Norman, Another Name for Expert”, “When People See Norman, They Lose it”; silver medals for the Norman Teaser campaign, “Norman, Another Name for Expert” “Heart Broken?”, “Thanks to Norman and When People See Norman,’ Count on Norman to Set Things Straight”, and “The Big 5-0 and then bronze medals for “Count on Norman to Set Things Straight” TV, “Baby Names” TV, “Manhole” TV, “Urgent Care Football” TV and the Highway to Health campaign for the Norman Regional Health Foundation.
