Moore Medical Center Cooks for the Red Cross

MOORE - Moore Medical Center is getting all spiced up for the American Red Cross! For the fourth year in the row the hospital is hosting a Chili Cook-off.

On Friday, March 27th the taste testers will be out in full force to determine who’s chili is worthy of awards. If you think you can out cook the competition, get your entry form completed and turned in to the MMC administration office by Thursday, March 26th. (Entry form is below.)

There is a $10 fee per entry. Each participant gets a free admission to the event. All the money raised will go to the local chapter of the American Red Cross. Last year MMC’s Chili Cook-Off raised nearly $1,000 for the Red Cross.

“We started helping the Red Cross because they have helped so many people in our community. We decided it was time for us to help them,” said Stacey Markcum event planer. “We hope to raise much more than that this year.”

Chili dishes must be warm and ready to eat by 11 am on Friday. The public will be digging in from 11:30am to 2 pm at Moore Medical Center’s North Atrium.

Prizes will be awarded in the categories: Best Overall, Hottest and Crowd Favorite. If you want to just enjoy the good grub, come on by. Five dollars will get all you can eat chili, a drink and dessert. Help support the Red Cross so when help is needed, help is available.
