Breastfeeding Education Workshop

Provides up-to-date, readily applicable knowledge & improves skills relating to breastfeeding. Objectives include:
- Explore techniques/interventions which optimize first feedings.
- Discuss criteria for assessing maternal & infant readiness to breastfeed.
- Review correct positioning & interventions for difficult latch-on.
- Determine maternal learning and identify educational resources.
- Discuss condition, prevention, & management of nipple soreness.
