Occupational therapy is provided to individuals with physical disabilities to maximize independence in the home, and prevent further disability. Interventions focus on the assessment and treatment of activities of daily living such as feeding and dressing ; fabrication and application of orthotics or splints; training in use of adaptive equipment and orthotics.
