Norman Regional Health System is offering a new route of care in Norman.
Norman Regional - Same Day Clinic
The Norman Regional Primary Care – Main Street clinic, located at 119 E. Main St. in Norman, is now the Norman Regional – Same Day Clinic. The Same Day Clinic offers same-day care for urgent needs with extended office hours and accepts walk ins. The clinic is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and will add Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. starting Dec. 1.
Norman Regional is excited to welcome Jason Taylor, DO, as the new physician at the Same Day Clinic.
Dr. Taylor comes to Norman Regional with more than a decade of experience. He received his medical degree from Oklahoma State University for Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tulsa, Oklahoma and completed his residency at Scott and White Memorial Hospital at Texas A&M University Health Sciences Center in Temple, Texas. He is board certified in family medicine and has a special interest in treating patient’s urgent needs with same-day care. Some of the conditions he treats include:
- Acute orthopedic injuries
- Allergic reactions
- Burns and abrasions
- Ear infections
- Laceration repair
- Pink eye
- Skin abscess
- Urinary tract infections
“I’m excited to be joining Norman Regional Health System and offering extended hours for the first time at one of their primary care clinics,” Dr. Taylor said. “I want my patients to know that they can expect respect from me and that no complaint is too small. I’m here to help them with whatever they need.”
In his spare time, Dr. Taylor enjoys scuba diving, snow skiing, working out and cooking. His favorite place to travel is either to mountains or the beach with his wife and two children.
Dr. Taylor is joining David Sparlin, APRN, CNS-C, who will continue treating his patients at the clinic, as well as offering same-day care with the newly extended hours.
Sparlin completed his Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. He is certified though the American Association of Critical Care nurses and is a member of the Oklahoma Student Nurse Association, National Student Nurse Association, and National Association of Clinic Nurse Specialists.
Sparlin takes pride in listening to his patients and assisting them in returning to their baseline to avoid declines requiring hospital admission or emergency care.
“I want the patients to feel heard,” he said.

- Sinus infections
- Type 2 diabetes
Sparlin was born and raised in Purcell, Oklahoma and is very involved in his community. He especially enjoys golfing and fishing. He is also a member of "Singing Churchmen of Oklahoma" and appears in concerts around Oklahoma many times throughout the year.
