Norman, OK - Dr. M. Daniel Isbell of Oklahoma Surgical Associates was recently named a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). These letters after a surgeon’s name are an indication to the patient that the surgeon’s education and training, professional qualification, surgical competence and ethical conduct have passed a rigorous evaluation and have been found to be consistent with the high standards established and demanded by the College. This evaluation is conducted according to national standards that were established to ensure that patients receive the best possible surgical care.
Dr. Isbell is a surgeon with Oklahoma Surgical Associates and practices in Norman, Oklahoma. Dr. Isbell performs a wide range of general surgery procedures and brings continued innovation to Norman Regional Health System. Dr. Isbell is skilled with laparoscopic techniques using minimal incisions, such as hernia repair, gallbladder removal and colon surgery. He uses Norman Regional’s da Vinci Robotic Surgical System, another way of performing minimally invasive surgeries. Dr. Isbell also performs vascular access for dialysis patients.
Dr. Isbell graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. He completed his residency at Carolina Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he was the Chief Surgery Resident.
