Laurel Jordan, DO, is the newest obstetrician/gynecologist to join Norman Regional’s team of OB/GYNs at Care for Women.
Dr. Jordan will be located at Care for Women—Norman, 3400 W. Tecumseh Rd. She will be delivering babies and performing surgeries at Norman Regional HealthPlex. She has been living in Ada, Oklahoma, but is excited to be coming back home to Norman to be able to serve her community and be close to her family.
“My goal is just to provide excellent healthcare to women right here in my hometown,” Dr. Jordan said. “Healthcare has always been important to me. I want to make sure women, mothers and babies get the care that they need and deserve.”
Dr. Jordan attended the University of Oklahoma for her undergraduate degree then attended Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tulsa for her medical degree. She completed her residency in Columbus, Ohio. She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology.
She said she hopes all her patients walk away knowing she truly cares about them and that they can trust her.
“I’ll go above and beyond for their wellbeing,” she said.
Dr. Jordan described herself as a “down to Earth” person who is easy to talk to, and very empathetic with her patients.
One thing she tells her patients is to always feel free to call her because she wants them to know she is available to them and that she is there for them.
Aside from medicine, Dr. Jordan likes to work with underserved populations, volunteering her time serving meals to the homeless. She also loves OU football and traveling, likes to play tennis, and is passionate about rescue dogs. She has two rescue dogs herself, a pit bull and a Chihuahua.
