Amanda Lewis, a certified physician assistant at Norman Regional Health System, will be speaking at the American Association of Endocrine Surgeon’s annual meeting next week in Los Angeles, California.
Lewis is a physician assistant to Tom Connally, MD, who specializes in thyroid, parathyroid, general surgery, and skin surgery. Lewis specializes in the same fields, assisting Dr. Connally both in the clinic and in the operating room.
Dr. Connally and Lewis are the only two members of the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons (AAES) from Oklahoma.
The AAES is a society whose membership is focused on improving the delivery of endocrine surgical care. The association’s goal is to discover and promote the best treatments for endocrine disease to help improve patients’ lives.
Next week’s meeting will be AAES’s 40th annual meeting and will be hosted April 7-9.
“It is quite an honor,” Dr. Connally said. “[Lewis] has established herself as a unique provider not only in Oklahoma but throughout the nation.”
