Norman parents Jennifer and Daniel Holdge went into Norman Regional HealthPlex’s Women’s & Children’s Unit ready to meet their son, Palmer, on Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017.

Jennifer checked in on the morning of Sept. 20 and was scheduled for her second cesarean birth bright and early that day.

This go around, she knew what to expect. Holdge was at the HealthPlex four years earlier for her daughter Pearl’s birth. Jennifer’s second C-section was “easy breezy” and went by quickly, she said.

When it comes to the HealthPlex, Jennifer said what she loves most are all the nurses who care for you during your stay.

“Everyone who tells me they’re going to give birth at the HealthPlex, I tell them, ‘oh my gosh, you’re going to love the nurses.’” Jennifer said. “I just really appreciate their care. Especially after a cesarean when you can’t do much, they are patient, supportive and sweet.

“If I was going to have any more, I would definitely have them at the HealthPlex.”

Palmer is now nine months old and we’re told he’s one happy - and certainly adorable -  baby boy!

Norman Regional’s team of experts is ready to care for new families, with board-certified physicians, registered nurses, lactation consultants and many others. A member of the Newborn Transition Team is at deliveries to care for your baby during this very important transition. Once mom and baby are both stable, they move together to a Mother/Baby room.
