Dr. Angie Carrick is from Wichita, Kansas. She took the short trip over to Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences for medical school. In addition to serving as the NRHS Associate Program Director, Dr. Carrick is the Co-Director of the NRHS Stroke program. Dr. Carrick has a strong interest in education, which helped her achieve 2nd Place at ACOEP New Innovations Poster Competition in 2019! She also holds Fellow Status for the ACOEP. Dr. Carrick has several publications, including Rapid Fire Hypercalcemia, and Placenta Previa, Journal of Education and Teaching in Emergency Medicine. Dr. Carrick’s medical interests include physician wellness, physician mental health, Imposter Syndrome, and the education of fellow attendings and residents. When she isn’t saving lives and educating doctors, Dr. Carrick is living an active, vegan lifestyle. She enjoys cooking, traveling, watching movies, and spending time with her 3 adorable sons.
