This class introduces basic concepts in cardiac monitoring.
Topics include cardiac anatomy, the conduction system, lead placement, calculating heart rate, determining regularity, sinus, atrial, junctional, ventricular rhythms and AV blocks. This course is a prerequisite for ACLS and PALS.

Participants will be required to purchase the Basic Arrhythmia book for $94.00 on the day of class. Employees may payroll deduct (up to 2 pay periods) and non-employees may pay with cash, check or credit card.
Employees who do not wish to keep the book after the class may turn it back in to the Education Center office and the payroll deduct form will not be processed as long as the book is in excellent condition. Employees also have the option of checking the book out of the NRHS Library.
