I was at the outpatient lab. Mariah was fantastic! Great bedside manner and very nice. I am not good at all with needles and she made it as painless as possible. I can't emphasize enough how great she was.

I must take this opportunity to compliment the entire staff that took such excellent care of me during my illness. My case was multifaceted and challenging. However, every staff member took the time and utilized all their education and considerable professionalism to see that every need was attended to quickly and accurately. I realize that this took extra time and careful analysis in order to assure my medical safety during my recovery and treatment. In some instances the doctor was called after hours to clarify orders. This action insured my safety. This action can unfortunately bring criticism to the nurse, but it is often necessary. I am so grateful that despite this risk this nurse didn’t hesitate to intercede on my behalf.

My case required high-frequent doses of potentially lethal medications. Yet I grew to trust completely in the judgment of my nurses. My comfort, dignity, and respect was always maintained. This staff works flawlessly together. I never heard any gossip or unnecessary chatter. The unit was busy in number of patients, yet it was a quiet and restful environment.

In my 20 years of personal service as a medical professional and 10 years as a frequent patient I believe this floor’s staff to be the best in every way. I was never an employee here. I have nothing to gain by my congratulations to you. But I must thank you. I have never written a letter like this before, but you deserve it.

Arriving at NRH I was rushed to a room. Medical staff was putting tabs and wires all over my body and monitoring my vitals. Staff and doctor were talking to me in calm voices. I was having chest pains and blood pressure was high. They had me stabelized and discussed further treatment and testing at HealthPlex. The ambulance arrived and the 2 ER medical personnel were so attentive and asking if I was in pain. When I reached the 4TH floor the excellent care continued. They couldn't do enough to make me comfortable. I had 2 IV's and wires every where. They never hurt me. So sweet and caring. The best part was the leg wraps. Like a massage. The only time I took them off is when I went to the toilet. Food was very good and always hot when arrived. So, please don't fear your stay in the hospital. Lay back and relax and ALL the staff will make you as comfortable as possible.
