Eternally Grateful by Former Patient*

Thursday, April 5, 2012

This is to thank all of you who made what could have been a frightening, tedious and uncomfortable experience comfortable, friendly and endurable. All three of the technician/nurses who worked on me were well-trained, competent and professional. This was to be expected. What prompts this letter is that they were also kind, friendly and caring. It has been a long time since a hospital visit has been made endurable by the willingness of the technicians to treat me, an elderly woman, like a member of the family! A young woman made the ultrasound exam, explaining what she was doing at each step and maintaining a casual, conversational tone that let me know that I was a person to her and not just a job. In fact, everyone in the facility was considerate in that way. I never once had to wander down a long hallway, alone and lost. I was accompanied by efficient and courteous staff with each change of examination room. The waits between the three procedures were well-timed and brief. The dreaded “stress EKG” was administered by an angel named Vern. By the time we had gone through the lengthy procedure, he seemed like a friend. As I returned to the big x-ray machine for the second time, he came in with me, introduced the technician there and left me, not alone, but with a temporary family. It was a long morning, and I became very tired. My “team” was patient and encouraging, teasing me about my hopes for securing coffee as soon as possible, even if by IV. And when it was all over, one of them walked me to the door of the coffee shop to make sure I found it. I am simply astounded, relieved and eternally grateful for your staff and their professional and humane approach to their work.

Heartfelt Thanks by Former Patient*

I was treated at the HealthPlex. I just wanted to write a personal thank you to the doctors and nurses that took very good care of me. I am unable to remember their names and faces but I was told by my family that I received excellent care from the staff. I owe credit to all of you that I am alive and well. For this I am most grateful. Thank you for everyone's hard work and dedication to their job. With a special mention from my daughters the following nurses; Penny, Kelly, Karen, Carol Ann, and Anne. Thank you for your personal attention to the needs of my family and friends that were at the hospital with me.

To the nurses who cared for my baby and I during our visit: Bonnie, Jonna, Laura and Dawn and all the nurses at Labor and Delivery, thank you so much for your help and care. My visit at MMC was the best hospital stay I have ever experienced. You all are the best nurses ever.

Great Job Moore Medical Center! by Current Employee*

Wednesday, February 22, 2012

I just wanted to pay compliments to the staff at the ASU here at Moore Medical Center. I had an outpatient procedure last week and the treatment I received was the best ever. At first I wasn't going to let them know that I was a nurse here but then somebody recognized me and let the cat out of the bag. They were extremely professional and courteous to me and my family throughout the entire process. There is a lot I can't remember but my wife commented several times about the great care we received. I hope I have a complete list of the people involved with my care. They were: Shelley, Brittany, Kenie, Christie, Cindy, Dawn, Patty, Rebekah and Rusty. I was apprehensive at first but they laid all of that to rest and made me feel very much at ease. Thanks for having such a great staff to care for us!

Thank You Moore Medical Center by Patient's Mother*

Tuesday, November 22, 2011

I want to recognize and thank all the staff at the Moore Medical Center for the great job everyone did caring for my mother during her stay at the hospital. My mother is a retired nurse. Having grown up around the medical arena (hospital, clinics, emergency rooms etc), I can recognize those who just do a job, and then those that do their job with concern and compassion. Not only did everyone who took care of my mother do their job well, but all were kind, and showed patience with the many family members who always were hovering in the room asking questions. They showed compassion, and always were concerned for her - and the family member’s comfort. I cannot thank Jeanette Harris (one of the RNs assigned to mother) enough for the outstanding job she did during one of my mother’s more challenging moments while in the hospital. I, and all other family members, have nothing but good things to say about her. We were very appreciative of her support and kindness. I wished I could name them all, but unfortunately I do not have everyone’s name (even to the lady that cleaned her room daily– what a sweetheart!) My hope is that somehow you can help convey to them our appreciation – even to the ladies who helped in the patient liaison/ social case workers. We don’t want to leave out our thank you to Dr. Cynthia Nydick also. She was very good and efficient, but her kindness and concern was felt by all. I know we (the public) take our medical workers for granted most of the time, we just expect them to be there to do the job when needed. However, once- in -while, we should stop to say thank you for their commitment and time it takes to keep us safe. I would like to take this opportunity to say “Thank You.”
