If you are looking for something fun, educational and exciting for the entire family, look no further. Norman Regional Health System’s Healthy Community Coalition and the OSU Extension office is bringing to Norman “Little Sprouts Fall in Love with Produce.”
“Little Sprouts Fall in Love with Produce” will be a fun-filled morning at the Norman Farmers Market on September 23rd and September 26th. You and your child will learn about the Norman Farm Market, receive healthy Fall recipes, take a special garden tour, taste fresh produce, make edible decorations, shop for fresh produce and much more!
A Norman Regional Health System dietitian will be on hand to help guide the two hour tours and teach the children and their parents about the importance of eating healthy and supporting local farmers.
”This event will be a great way for parents and their children to become more familiar with the local farm market and learn about fresh produce currently in season,” said Lindy Beswick, community health and wellness coordinator for Norman Regional. “Little Sprouts really promotes making healthy food choices as a family.”
“Little Sprouts Fall in Love with Produce” is geared toward children ages two to seven. There is a five dollar fee per child. Space is limited so be sure to register your little sprout soon! For more information or to register, please call HealthLink at 440-8802.
