In an effort to raise $5,000 for the American Red Cross, Moore Medical Center is gearing up for a month long fundraising effort.
To start the month, the hospital is selling raffle tickets to win some beautiful gift baskets. You can see the baskets and make your bid inside the main entrance of Moore Medical Center beginning March 1.
On March 23 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. bring your appetite to Earl’s Rib Palace in Moore! The restaurant will be donating 10 percent of all sales to the American Red Cross on behalf of Moore Medical Center.
Then on March 26 Moore Medical Center will host the first ever “Second Time Around” consignment sale. Remember the only saying, “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” Donations are already being made by hospital employees in the form of gently used clothes, shoes, purses, tools, toys, baby items, books and much more. Donations will be collected through March 24. Please call Stacey Kuykendall at 912-3483 to schedule a drop off time. The Second Time Around Sale will be held in Moore Medical Center’s north Atrium area on Saturday, March 26 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The sixth annual Moore Medical Center Community Chili Cook-off will wind down the month long fundraising effort on April 1. If you think you can out cook the competition, get your entry form completed and turned in to the hospital’s Administration office by Thursday, March 31. There is a $10 fee per entry. Each participant gets a free admission to the event. Chili dishes must be warm and ready to eat by 11 a.m. Friday, April 1. The public will be digging in from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Moore Medical Center’s North Atrium. Prizes will be awarded in the categories: Best Overall, Hottest and Crowd Favorite.
If you need more information about any of these events, please contact Stacey Kuykendall at 912-3483 or Debbie Steele at 912-3485.
