Infusion Center by Augusta, spouse of a patient *

Monday, February 26, 2018

My husband was diagnosed with plasma cell leukemia in December 2016. Since that time we have visited the Infusion Center at Norman Regional Hospital. The care of the staff and nurses is remarkable. With all that they encounter each day they have warm hugs, smiles, and fun banter at each visit. (At the Infusion Center) many, like me, are the wife or caregiver of those diagnosed with a variety of cancers and each time we come to the Center it is a reminder of how fragile this struggle is for our loved ones. But, we walk out after each visit cheered a bit by the kindness and care of those that work each day with disease and death and yet give us hugs and help us so much to continue.
