About Raghuveer Vedala, MD,FAAFP,Dipl. ABOM

Raghuveer Vedala, MD, FAAFP, is board-certified in family medicine practicing at Norman Regional’s Primary Care – South OKC clinic. Dr. Vedala also received his board certification by the American Board of Obesity Medicine and specializes in weight management at Health@TheWell.

He graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and finished his residency at Wesley Family Medicine in Wichita, Kansas. Dr. Vedala chose to pursue family medicine because of the opportunity to build relationships with his patients and provide a wide variety of care.

Dr. Vedala said his patients can expect to have their voice heard and opinions respected. “I'm a firm believer in shared decision-making, educating my patients on disease conditions and providing them evidence-based treatment options with their best interests at heart,” said Dr. Vedala.

In December 2022, Dr. Vedala was awarded the title of Fellow, American Academy of Family Physicians (FAAFP) by the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP).

The AAFP is a professional medical society that represents family physicians, residents, and medical students in the United States. It's focused on advancing the specialty of family medicine and promoting the principles of primary care, including accessibility, continuity, comprehensiveness, and patient-centered care. The AAFP works to improve the health of patients, families, and communities through advocacy, education, and research and supports the professional development of its members through resources such as continuing medical education and practice management tools.

In his free time, Dr. Vedala enjoys traveling with his wife, being a foodie, playing with his dogs, ballroom and Bollywood dancing, karaoke and keeping up with personal fitness.
