EMSSTAT Awarded Contract to Provide Ambulance Services to the City Of Moore

MOORE, OK - EMSSTAT, an ambulance service owned and operated by Norman Regional Health System, was awarded a contract to provide emergency medical services (EMS) to the City of Moore.

At its Monday, July 6, 2015 City Council meeting, the Moore city council voted to select EMSSTAT as its ambulance service provider.

"EMSSTAT is excited at the opportunity to provide emergency medical services to the Moore community,” said Richie Splitt, Chief Administrative Officer of the Hospital and Norman Regional Moore. “EMSSTAT and Norman Regional have a strong connection to this vibrant community and we feel this new partnership will strengthen that bond."

Eddie Sims, Manager of EMSSTAT and paramedic said EMSSTAT is looking forward to serving the City of Moore and becoming a member of its outstanding public safety team.

Currently, EMSSTAT provides paramedic-level care to the community of Norman and its surrounding areas, which is a coverage area of about 400 square miles. Paramedics are highly-trained professionals that initiate advanced airways, intravenous therapy, administer medications, use cardiac monitors and apply splints and bandaging to stabilize medical and trauma patients. EMSSTAT also offers hazardous materials response, special event coverage, disaster response and a tactical medic team.

"Norman Regional and EMSSTAT’s mission is to provide quality and compassionate health care services to the regional community in a responsive, efficient and safe manner,” Splitt said. “This will be our mission for the Moore community and its EMS needs as we move forward."
