Christa Gatewood, MPT, is a physical therapist at our Physical Performance Center who has more than 20 years of experience. She said she enjoys being a physical therapist because she finds it very rewarding to be able to help people regain something they have lost or to help them return to a prior level of function. She works hard to be able to gain a person’s trust to help their body, mind and spirit.

Christa would like her patients to know that she will work to establish a trusting relationship from the first day they meet her. She will get to know what her patient is seeking in therapy and how she can work with her patients to attain their goals. She always strives to get to know the person, not the dysfunction.
When she isn’t at work, Christa loves spending time with her husband and their four children. She is an avid OU football fan and on Saturdays in the fall she is always cheering them on.
