Lung Cancer Surgery
Lung cancer is one of the most common forms of cancer in the United States.
In most forms of lung cancer, surgery represents the patient's best chance
of long term survival and maintaining a good quality of life moving forward.
There are multiple methods utilized by surgeons to remove the cancerous
lung tissue. Thoracotomy, Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS),
and Robotic-Assisted Thoracic Surgery (RATS) are the most commonly employed.
