About Katie Nixon, MD

Katie Nixon, MD, is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and completed her residency at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.

Dr. Nixon’s special interests include:

• Contraception
• Fertility
• Menopause
• Menstrual regulation
• Pap screening and cervical dysplasia
• Pregnancy, delivery and postpartum care
• Robotic and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery

Dr. Nixon said it is a privilege to take care of women throughout their lives. “I love both knowing the physiology of what a woman's body can do and seeing how my patients manifest it with strength and grace,” she said.

She said patients can expect her to be a compassionate, skilled physician who is detail oriented and practices evidence-based medicine.

“It is important to me that patients understand their options so we can work together towards their health goals,” Dr. Nixon said.

Dr. Nixon is proud to be a native of Norman, OK. She enjoys traveling, hiking, golf and cheering on the Oklahoma City Thunder!
