Signs have been posted at Norman Regional Health System’s entrances and clinics asking those seeking care to inform our team if they have fever, symptoms of respiratory illness or been in contact with someone who was diagnosed with COVID-19.
Reported illnesses have ranged from mild symptoms to severe illness and death for confirmed COVID-19 cases.
The following symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure.
- Shortness of breath
If you develop emergency warning signs for COVID-19 get medical attention immediately. Emergency warning signs include*:
- Trouble breathing
- Persistent pain or pressure in the chest
- New confusion or inability to arouse
- Bluish lips or face

Norman Regional has two dedicated units caring for patients who need to be admitted to the hospital and who are either suspected or confirmed to have COVID-19. Our team is taking the proper precautions to treat these patients and protect all our patients and staff from this disease.
