About
As an integrative psychiatrist, Dr. Ellis works closely with each patient to uncover the underlying causes of their disease states. Using a personalized treatment approach, he considers each individual’s unique personality, background, temperament, biochemistry, genetics, metabolism, and stress-coping mechanisms. When prescription medications are necessary, Dr. Ellis strives to use these conservatively. To achieve full benefits, he will incorporate nutritional counseling, pharmaceutical-grade supplements, lifestyle and stress management techniques, and correction of nutrient deficiencies. By applying integrative methods, which focus on balancing and treating the whole person and not just the symptoms, Dr. Ellis’s patients can achieve optimal health.
Dr. Ellis is qualified to treat children, teenagers, and adults. He earned his medical degree in 1995 from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. His adult psychiatry training was completed at Griffin Memorial Hospital, followed by a two-year fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Oklahoma University Health Sciences Center. He has attended numerous conferences across the country in recent years has been trained by international leaders in the fields of integrative medicine and integrative psychiatry and remains eager to gain the most current knowledge.
