Our state-of-the-art 1.5T scanner has a wide bore opening for patient comfort
as well as in-suite windows to help alleviate claustrophobia. Headphones
are available for many exams for added patient comfort. Our technologists
are highly trained and registered with the American Registry of Radiologic
Technologists.
CT (Computed Tomography)
Computed Tomography (CT) provides a cross-sectional view of your body,
tissues and organs. Our highly trained technologists are registered with
the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists to provide safe, accurate exams.
Low-Dose Cancer Screening CT
- Lung cancer screening is an annual low-dose CT scan (LDCT)
- Detects potentially cancerous tumors while they’re still small, and
most treatable
- Recommended between the ages of 50 and 80, if you currently smoke or quit
within the last 15 years
- Self-Referral $100
X-Ray
Our X-ray department offers both traditional imaging and
Digital Dynamic Radiography (DDR) — a breakthrough, low-dose technology that captures anatomy in motion.
The DDR can acquire up to 15 sequential radiographs per second, allowing
your provider to observe physiological cycles, as well as individual radiographic
images. We also perform scoliosis and bone length exams, and no appointment
is needed for X-ray or DDR.
Important Note for Patients
For your safety, a medical screening is required before entering the MRI
suite. If you have ANY implanted medical devices, our MRI technologists
must review and confirm they are MRI safe on our system. Please bring
your implant identification card, if you have one, to your appointment.
Please note: We are not able to perform MRI scans on patients with pacemakers at our facility.
Many insurance providers require prior authorization for advanced imaging
exams such as CT and MRI. This process may take up to two weeks to complete.
Once authorization is secured, our team will promptly contact you to schedule
your appointment
If your referring provider is outside of the Norman Regional Health System,
you will need to request a copy of your images on a disc, as we are unable
to send them electronically.
