Project SEARCH

Project SEARCH is an internship program that helps young adults with disabilities gain real world job skills through hands on experience and training.

The program is a partnership between Moore Public Schools, Norman Regional Hospital, The University of Oklahoma Outreach National Center for Disability Education Training, the Oklahoma Department of Rehabilitation Services, and DRTC. Students enrolled on an IEP or 504 Plan at high schools within the Moore Public Schools district are eligible to apply.

Interns spend a school year at Norman Regional Hospital, rotating through different departments, while receiving classroom instruction and job coaching. The ultimate goal of Project SEARCH is to prepare interns for competitive, integrated employment after graduation.
