Chelsea Rommel, DO, chose to become a hospitalist because she enjoys taking care of a variety of diseases and helping coordinate care for patients during their hospital stay.
“I love the critical thinking that comes with treating multiple health problems and disease processes and treating the patient as a whole,” she said.
Dr. Rommel’s special interests include:
- Coronary artery disease
- Chronic kidney disease
- Diabetic ketoacidosis
- Acute kidney injury
- Cerebrovascular accident
- Other acute illnesses, injuries and diseases
“As your physician, I will be sure to take care of you and use clear communication on what disease process you have and how we are going to help treat and heal you during your stay,” she said. “I will always do my best to be your advocate and help coordinate care with any other physicians that may be working to help in your healing process.”
Aside from medicine, Dr. Rommel enjoys running, triathlons, marathons, wake boarding, alpine skiing, camping, hiking, and spending time with her family and two German Shepherds
