Tamara Manning, APRN-CNP, is an advanced practice provider at the Norman Regional - Primary Care NW Norman. She served as a nurse for 34 years. She has many years of critical care experience with the adult age group, has experience with leadership, much of her nursing career has been spent caring for patients with cardiac and pulmonary disease processes, and she has had years of experience caring for patients with complicated co-morbidities.

Tamara said she chose to become an APRN because she wanted to provide healthcare across the lifespan.
“I enjoy each phase of life and the challenges it presents. I am excited for the increased autonomy as an APRN and providing preventative care to this vast age group,” she said. “As an APRN, my patients can look to me as a caregiver with compassion and experience.”
Aside from medicine, Tamara enjoys gardening and most outdoor activities. She started running about three years ago and has kept it up as a great form of exercise, along with biking. She has a large family – including six children, five grandchildren, and soon to be three more grandchildren – so she loves having fun family time. Her favorite holiday tradition with her family is Christmas bowling! Each year the whole family opens gifts then goes bowling. They also have an annual cookie day where all her daughters come to her house and bring two cookie recipes. Any other spare time she can fine is used for sewing and quilting.
