About Alain Eid, MD
Alain Eid, MD is a quadruple board certified critical care, pulmonary, neurocritical care and sleep medicine physician with advanced expertise in pulmonary hypertension. Dr. Eid graduated from St. Joseph University School of Medicine in Beirut, Lebanon, completed his residency at St. John Hospital in Detroit, Michigan and his pulmonary and critical care fellowship at OU Health University of Oklahoma Medical Center.
Dr. Eid has over 30 years of experience as a physician, spending six of those years as a professor of pulmonary and critical medicine at The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. He has authored book chapters on pleural effusions, which is fluid around the lungs, published many articles in peer reviewed journals, and conducted extensive clinical research on sepsis, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

He chose to go into critical care to make a meaningful difference in peoples’ lives.
Dr. Eid is married and he and his wife are the proud parents of three daughters. Outside of medicine, he enjoys seeking adventure in the mountains, including big‑mountain skiing, hiking, and mountain biking. He also pursues astrophotography from his home observatory, capturing detailed images of celestial objects and night‑sky phenomena.
