About Ashton Johnson, PA-C,MPAS

Ashton Johnson, MPAS, PA-C, is a physician’s assistant with Ortho Central and works alongside Zakary Knutson, MD.

Ashton has always had an interest in healthcare and as an athlete herself, she wanted to care for others the way her healthcare providers helped her when she was younger. Ashton said patients can expect a provider who will actively listen to their concerns. She said she believes patients know their bodies best and she will work alongside them to provide the best care possible

Ashton graduated from Welch College with a Bachelor’s of Exercise Science and Theological Studies and from Oklahoma City University with a Master’s of Physician Assistant Studies. In her free time, Ashton enjoys being outdoors doing all things sports-related. She spends most of her time with her friends and family and has recently started learning to play piano.

This is a wonderful doctor who is willing to make sure she hears your concerns and explains why she is having the treatments done the way they are. She even helped me to understand the reasons behind what would cause surgery to be absolutely necessary versus how it was avoided if healing keeps going well. Fully appreciate her care and concern to make sure I had all the knowledge I needed without making me feel rushed.

I had knee replacement surgery a little over a year ago with Dr Knudson. I have not one complaint. He and Ashton are professional yet funny and personable. Ashton is a great cheerleader, and when you're going through all that, you need one. She has also helped me find other doctors for various things. I'm proud to say I graduated today! I was a patient of Dr Knutson back in 2013, when my wife was needing and Doctor for a shoulder surgery, we went back to him for her care. Ashton was there with my wife through both shoulder surgeries and the follow up care. My recent visit was for evaluation of bad knees. Ashton was very no nonsense and explained all the options and risks or benefits of the different possible courses of action. She is compassionate and addressed each and every concern i had as she explained the different treatment options. Ashton is just remarkable.
