Who We Train

As an AHA Training Center, we train a variety of people and organizations in our community. We train school staff and sports trainers, daycares, dentist and physician offices, churches, police departments, 911 dispatch centers, fire departments, healthcare employees, and businesses from our community and the surrounding areas.

How We Received the All-Star Recognition

Norman Regional’s designation as an AHA Training Center was achieved through meeting and/or exceeding the program criteria set for AHA training centers.

For 2025, Norman Regional maintained top-tier program compliance and adhered to training quality measures with an overall course quality score of 94%. Our training center had outstanding eCard performance metrics, including 1,457 eCards assigned to trainees, with 95% of those claimed online, and 90% of our trainees completing their surveys, with a performance score of 93%. Norman Regional also had 152 participants in 2025 for Family and Friends CPR classes.

Rachel Nabors, Norman Regional Education Center Supervisor and Training Center Coordinator is proud that the AHA is recognizing Norman Regional and her team with this award “It’s exciting that Norman Regional is being recognized for all the hard work we’re putting into educating those in our community,” Nabors said. “We aim to provide our learners with solid skills that could end up being life-saving when a medical emergency arises.”

In communication to the All-Star recipients, the AHA commented, “This distinction is no small achievement. Your Training Center has demonstrated exceptional dedication to the Heart Association’s mission by consistently delivering high-quality CPR education, following ECC Guidelines, and elevating the standard of lifesaving training in your communities.”
