About Monica Lawson, APRN-CNP

Monica Lawson, APRN-CNP, is a certified advanced practice nurse at Norman Regional’s Pulmonary Clinic with more than 21 years of experience. Monica decided to become a nurse after an amazing patient experience when she was a teen with a nurse who was kind, competent, and comforting.

“I knew almost immediately that I wanted to strive to be like her. To this day, I think about her and the impact she had on my life,” she said.

Monica chose to practice pulmonary medicine because of the challenge of pulmonary medicine and the patient population.

“I find that particular patient population to need a lot of support and compassion, which I can provide. My pulmonary patients are my passion and purpose,” she said. “My patients can expect me to spend time with them, care about them, and do everything I can to provide the best care.”

Well, that was a lot in itself! The Call Center, though I know it serves a purpose has so far in my case been ineffective, unreliable, and inaccurate. I always like to offer solutions if I complain - Retrain - More training - Are they in a room full of people or at home - do they answer for 1 clinic or numerous - Maybe train for 5 clinics and not all - divide your people and let them specialize - If they are home - CALL ME - LOL! I need a legit at home work job and I owe NRHS a ton ... LOL Are they paid goo

If I run into someone that's needing a lung doctor, I will most definitely recommend Dr. Lawson to them. She's a very good doctor.
