About Chintan A. Parikh, MD

Chintan Parikh, MD, received his medical degree from Municipal Medical College in Ahmedabad, India. He did his primary care internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine at Elmhurst Hospital Center in Elmhurst, New York. Following his residency, Dr. Parikh served as chief medical resident at Mount Sinai School of Medicine at Elmhurst Hospital Center, and was a teaching assistant at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in New York, New York. He completed his fellowship in gastroenterology at the OU Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City.

He specializes in:

  • Colon cancer screening
  • Endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR)
  • Gallbladder disease
  • Inflammatory bowel diseases (Crohn's, ulcerative colitis)

His major interests are inflammatory bowel disease, gastroesophageal reflux disease, and liver problems. He has presented GI-related research papers at national conferences.

Dr. Parikh is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. His memberships include the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American College of Physicians, and the Oklahoma State Medical Association.

Dr. Parikh is an active member of the medical staff at Norman Regional Hospital, West Norman Endoscopy Center, and Medical Plaza Endoscopy Unit.
