Dr. Connally is medical director of the Norman Regional Health System Endocrine Surgery Program and a pioneer in the area of minimally-invasive thyroid and parathyroid surgeries. He is now credentialed as an Advanced Competency in Thyroid and Parathyroid Surgery (ACTPS) physician, recognizing his expertise and dedication to excellence in endocrine surgery. This national designation affirms his leadership in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care.

These minimally-invasive surgeries utilize smaller incisions and local anesthesia which make for faster recovery from surgery. The amount of surgery time is decreased by nearly 30 minutes with the use of new technology allowing parathyroid hormone (PTH) levels measured in the operating room as opposed to being taken to a lab to be processed elsewhere in the facility. The Endocrine Surgery Program uses a team approach working closely with endocrinologists, pathologists, radiologist and nuclear medicine staff to ensure patients receive the highest quality of care. Dr. Connally has completed hundreds of cases. Patients from all over the nation have traveled to Norman to be treated by him.
