Denise Rable, MD, is a General Surgeon board-certified and fellowship-trained in Breast Surgical Oncology. Dr. Rable currently serves as the Director of Breast Services at The Oklahoma Breast Center with offices in both Norman and Oklahoma City.
She earned her medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine before completing her general surgery residency at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. It was there that she also held the esteemed role of Chief Resident in Surgery.
In recognition of her exceptional talents during her surgical residency, she was honored with a National Institute of Health Research Fellowship and the H. Dale Collins Scholar in Surgery scholarship. Further solidifying her commitment to Breast Surgical Oncology, Dr. Rable successfully finished her fellowship at the OU Institute for Breast Health.

Following her fellowship, Dr. Rable's talents were recognized as she was named Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. Subsequently, she has played an instrumental role in the establishment of breast centers in Norman, Tulsa, and Oklahoma City. Taking an innovative approach, Dr. Rable has ushered in advanced surgical techniques to Oklahoma, which include lymphatic mapping, sentinel lymph node biopsy in breast cancer, nipple-sparing mastectomy, radioactive seed tumor localization, breast oncoplastic surgical techniques, and autologous tissue breast reconstruction, among others.
Expanding her expertise further, she completed the Cancer Genetics Program at the respected City of Hope Cancer Institute in Duarte, California. Her ongoing education and research reflect her dedication to providing the most cutting-edge options for breast surgery and breast cancer treatment.
Dr. Rable's contributions to healthcare have been consistently acknowledged, with her repeated selection as an Oklahoma Top Doctor by Castle Connolly Publishing. In June 2019, she gained further recognition as a featured physician in Oklahoma Magazine. Embodying compassion and professionalism in patient treatment, her clinic is known for consistently achieving high marks in patient satisfaction.
