About Tara Chandran, DO

Tara Chandran, DO, is a board-certified general surgeon with specialized fellowship training in breast surgery. She completed her medical degree at Touro University California, followed by a residency at Henry Ford Macomb and a breast surgical oncology fellowship at the University of Kansas.

Dr. Chandran is a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society and is known for delivering evidence-based, compassionate, and patient-centered care. She believes in guiding patients and their families through every step of their diagnosis and treatment with empathy, education, and support. Dr. Chandran is especially passionate about honoring each patient’s values and working as part of a collaborative care team to create individualized treatment plans.
