The Oklahoma Breast Center Welcomes Breast Surgeon

The Oklahoma Breast Center, part of Norman Regional Health System, is pleased to welcome Tara Chandran, DO, a fellowship-trained breast surgical oncologist, to its team of dedicated breast health specialists.
Dr. Chandran joins Denise Rable, MD, FACS, one of Oklahoma’s most respected and experienced breast surgeons. Together, they offer patients a unique combination of advanced surgical expertise and compassionate, patient-centered care. With two highly trained breast surgeons under one roof, The Oklahoma Breast Center in Norman continues to strengthen its position as a destination for comprehensive breast care, where women are cared for by women.

Dr. Chandran is a board-certified general surgeon who completed her medical degree at Touro University California, a general surgery residency at Henry Ford Macomb, and a breast surgical oncology fellowship at the University of Kansas. She joins The Oklahoma Breast Center with advanced expertise in both benign and malignant breast disease and a special interest in techniques that combine medical precision with aesthetic consideration.

Dr. Chandran is a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society and is known for delivering evidence-based, compassionate, and patient-centered care. She believes in guiding patients and their families through every step of diagnosis and treatment with empathy, education, and support.
“My approach is to meet patients where they are — both emotionally and medically,” said Dr. Chandran. “Every person’s journey is unique, and my goal is to create a treatment plan that honors their values while using the most advanced surgical techniques available.”
